    CLIENTS/PAYMENTS

How do I pay a translator for a project?
You can transfer money from your 121Translation account to any translator, just click the "transfer money" button in the account management area. You put money in your account by depositing funds into it by credit card, PayPal, check, cash or bank wire payment.

Do I have to pay translators through my 121Translation account?
Yes. To ensure that all translators are paid all payments are made through 121Translation.

When do you charge your commission and how much will it be?
As soon as you choose a translator for one of your projects (a winning bid) it will be closed/archived and you will be charged a commission.

Do I have to add money to my account?
Not until you have selected a translator. We ask for payment before the translator starts work. If your account balance is below zero dollars for more than 30 days your account will be frozen. You will not be able to create any new projects.

How do I add money to my account?
Login to the account management area and click on the "deposit" button.

Can I withdraw money from my account?
Yes, just click the "withdraw money" button in the account management area. You can currently request a payment through a PayPal or E-Gold account. Note that you cannot withdraw less than $30.00 at a time.

Can I transfer money to another Client account?
No, there should be no need to do this. Only translators need to be paid.

Is there a fee to transfer money to a translator’s account?
No, there is currently no fee.

What if I accidentally transferred the wrong amount or transferred it to the wrong translator?
You will have to contact us and explain your situation. We might have to ask for confirmation from the translator.

If the translator ends up charging me less than he bid on my project, can I get a partial refund on the commission 121Translation takes?
This should not happen. The bid is for the project. Our fee is calculated on that figure. If the project changes after it has been accepted both parties agree a lower fee then that is at your decision. Our fee, however, remains as agreed.

What is the minimum amount I can transfer to a translator account?
    Currently the minimum is $2.

How does the escrow account payment system work?
All payments are escrow payments. Escrow is a legal term where money is deposited with a neutral third party (121Translation) to be delivered upon fulfilment of certain conditions (the project). Some translators may insist on escrow payment before they start work, this can be done from your account. The funds are not released until the work is complete.

When do I have to pay the project fee?
The fee is automatically deducted from your 121Translation account, no matter what your balance is at the time. You will need to deposit money into your account to cover the fee. If your account remains below zero dollars for 30 days, it will be suspended.
